What’s a defining moment for your career in cannabis?

In the real world, “careers” equate to little more than stressful systems we contract with in order to pay our bills and survive.

Working in cannabis is a little different.

It’s fun, it’s a little crazy, and it’s just going to keep growing. Working around cannabis truly is like no other job.

But it wasn’t so easy at first.

I BROKE the Grass Ceiling

I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the room, because I’ve had the chance to break into two of my passions throughout my life and career.

Tech and cannabis have been topics I’d consider my “special interests,” so when I was hired on to produce podcasts and social media for one cannabis tech company, it was more than eye-opening.

Suddenly, I was digging deeper into the subjects I had known and cared about for ages. I learned more about plant science and how to grow with the help of technology than I ever thought was possible.

But I still wanted more.

Trimming Back Misconceptions

The science behind cultivation was cool, and after getting a handle on the way the cannabis industry functioned in the United States, I started to have my own questions, like:

How are cannabis and hemp different?

What’s the science behind growing with different lighting spectrums?

Is running a cannabis business all that different from running any other business?

…you see where I’m going here.

And this is why I started No Bad Buds Media. To boldly go where no other cannabis content creator has gone before, to get to the real truth of our industry. To educate a new audience about the plant and the products made from it. And to connect with a growing community of people that cannabis and CBD can help. We’re here for the good buds and the good vibes. No trash talking or cultivator drama on our watch.
